THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
-(Only one (1) of Math 171, Math 206, Physics 101, Physics 202 is required for entry to 2 nd year). Math AND Physics are required for graduation.
-Do not take Physics 101 before completing math 107 Pre-calculus
-The remaining credits (to make 26) should be selected from General Education Courses required for graduation. The highest grades obtained in these courses will be considered for application to second year.
-Please register as early as possible because classes fill up early and may not be available late in the summer
-Math placement test will indicate which math course is suitable ie math 107 or 171 or 206 etc
-English placement test will indicate English course required
-Math sequence is critical – if a student is not academically prepared to enter Math 171 or 206, Math 107 may be required. It is thus imperative to enroll and complete Math 107 fall semester so that Math 171/206 may be completed spring semester and the math requirement for entry to second year satisfied.
-If a student has completed Math 107 or its equivalent Math 171 may be selected fall or spring. (Math 206 is only available spring semester). Math 171 be completed fall semester and perhaps physics completed spring semester.
-Students with AP(Advanced Placement) credit should complete at least 26 semester credit hours of architectural program requirements by selecting GER's required for graduation
Transfer Students /Credits
Students entering the Arch Program with many transfer credits or with a 2 year degree may have completed many of the General Education Requirements (GER). These students will have space in their schedule. The School suggestion is to consider a minor in another discipline or to take courses that will reinforce and support your degree program. The School offers a minor in Construction management for architecture students
